The virus sampling kit is based on Hank's solution. The solution contains inorganic salts, amino acids, and protein-stable ingredients. The virus sampling kit has a stable osmotic pressure, which provides a stable transport and storage environment for nasopharyngeal swab samples. Samples are sent to the laboratory for follow-up testing to determine whether the collected samples are infected with the virus.

Virus activity verification

 

Figure 1 The Newcastle disease virus(NDV) was stored at 4, 25 and -80 for 48h, and then the virus was injected into the chicken embryo allantoic together with the preservation solution. After 48h of reproduction, 6ml of allantoic fluid was drawn and the viral nucleic acid was extracted for detection Its Ct value. The control is the Ct value detected after direct nucleic acid extraction from the virus preserved in the preservation solution. The results showed that the virus preserved in this preservation solution still had infectious activity to chicken embryos after being preserved at 4°C, 25°C and -80°C for 48 hours, and the preservation solution effectively protected the virus activity.

 

Verification of the effect of different preservation solutions

 

Figure 2 . Using GENFINE VTM and competing products Y and H to store the Newcastle disease virus(NDV) at 4°C, 25°C and -80°C respectively for 48h, extract the viral nucleic acid and detect its Ct value. The control is the Ct value detected after direct nucleic acid extraction from the virus preserved in the preservation solution. The results showed that the Ct value of the virus was basically unchanged after being stored in the preservation solution at 4°C, 25°C and -80°C for 48 hours, and its preservation performance was consistent with the well-known brands Y and H. The preservation solution had superior preservation performance for the virus.
